LARGEST MULTIFUNCTIONAL VENUE IN THE REGION
Black Sea Arena is the countryโs main venue and a multifunctional space located on the Black Sea coast, in the Guria region. Since its establishment, by hosting dozens of world-renowned stars, Black Sea Arena has played a significant role in the development of the regionโs music industry. Today, it proudly holds the title of the largest concert arena and multifunctional venue in the region.
The construction of Black Sea Arena began in 2008 at the initiative of the Cartu Foundation. Spanning 30 000 square metres, the musical arena accommodates up to 10 000 guests, and its technical specifications allow us to successfully host events of various types and complexities. The open amphitheatre-style venue is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, movable lighting walls, and a retractable roof. The stage, covering 638 square metres, is perfectly visible from every point in the hall.
The open amphitheatre-style concert hall can be fully covered during rain. Transparent lamellas protect the audience from the sun and wind, and when opened, they reveal a captivating view of the Caucasus Mountains. All these details make Black Sea Arena building truly unique, which is why, in 2020, it won the German Design Award in the category of Best Contemporary Architecture.
